Why we have a Code of Conduct

At Power House Performing Arts, we believe a positive, respectful, and supportive environment is essential for everyone to learn and grow. A clear and comprehensive Code of Conduct helps to:

  • Ensure safety: By setting guidelines for behaviour, we can create a safe space where students can focus on learning and performing without fear of bullying or harassment.
  • Foster respect: Promoting mutual respect among students, parents, and teachers helps to build a supportive and inclusive community.
  • Encourage open communication: Clear expectations encourage open and honest communication, which helps resolve issues more effectively and ensures that concerns are addressed appropriately.
  • Maintain professionalism: A Code of Conduct establishes a professional atmosphere where everyone knows what is expected of them, leading to a more organised and productive learning environment.
  • Support personal growth: By adhering to a Code of Conduct, students can develop not only their dance skills but also important life skills such as respect, responsibility, and teamwork.
